Controlling ducting deposits and monitoring their build up is essential to maintain hygiene standards and reduce fire risks in heating and ventilation systems. The Elcometer 456 Duct Deposit Measuring System has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of the DTT (Deposit Thickness Test) in the HVCA's (Heating & Ventilation Contractor's Association) Guide to Good Practice, for the measurement of dust and grease deposits within ventilation systems and kitchen ducts made of ferrous metals. By using the
Elcometer 456 Ferrous Top Gauge with the specially designed F1D
probe and duct cleaning template, readings can be taken of the deposit
thickness on a specific test area, before and after cleaning.
Produce Professional Reports with ElcoMaster Software ElcoMaster software, supplied as standard with the Elcometer 456 Duct Deposit Measuring System, includes a template designed specifically for reporting duct deposit measurements. When working to the HVCA Method for Measuring the Thickness of Deposits (Dust & Grease), 20 readings need to be taken in a specific location using the duct cleaning template. These readings are automatically saved to a batch file in the Elcometer 456 gauge. The area is then cleaned and the duct cleaning template is replaced and a further 20 readings are taken which are again, saved to a batch file in the Elcometer 456 gauge. Using either USB
connection or Bluetooth®, the batch information is then saved to
the PC via ElcoMaster Software. Utilising the specifically designed Duct Deposit Report Template in ElcoMaster, an 'instant' report is generated which clearly displays the readings before and after cleaning and calculates the differences between the readings at each of the 20 locations. This report can be e-mailed directly from ElcoMaster to the client or saved for future reference. |
