This version of the Elcometer 1720 is adapted for testing the spongeability and washability of paper wall coverings in accordance with EN 233 & EN 12956 Standards.

The test consists of scrubbing the sample with a tool under defined conditions. Three specific tools are available for use with the Elcometer 1720 Spongeability and Washability Tester to work in accordance with the Standards.

    • Stroke length can be easily adjusted using the tools supplied from 10 to 140mm (0.4 to 5.5")
  • Multi-lingual digital display:
    • Available in 19 languages, the multi-lingual digital display allows easy, accurate speed variation and simple reporting
  • Wet and Dry
    • All stations can be tested wet or dry
    • Samples can be tested under wet and / or dry conditions simultaneously
  • User Adjustable
    • Stroke length can be quickly and easily changed by the user to meet their specific requirements between 10 - 140mm (0.4 to 5.5")
    • Carriage speed can be adjusted between 10 and 120 cycles per minute
